Consultation

After an initial examination, we will be able to tell you what your treatment will involve and its approximate cost.

Your First Visit Following Your Consultation

After carefully analyzing the nature of your needed correction, Dr. DiFranco will recommend the best course of treatment for improving your smile. Diagnostic records are made to determine your individual needs. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination; plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient, including your treatment fee. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Regular Appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes approximately 45 minutes. You'll then see us at regular intervals 4 to 6 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday & Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and some Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is best to keep scheduled appointments since most appointments are made 4-6 weeks in advance.

Payment & Office Policies

Cost

The cost of orthodontic treatment will depend on many factors, including the severity of the problem, its complexity and length of treatment. We will be glad to discuss the cost with you before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets, including a no-down-payment option.

Fees

We will work with you to arrive at a payment plan that suits your individual needs. Our options are as follows:

• If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount.
• Financial arrangements can be made for a down payment with a monthly payment option.
• For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA and MASTERCARD.

Insurance

If you have insurance, we will help you to determine the coverage you have available. Professional care is provided to you, our patient, and not to an insurance company. Thus, the insurance company is responsible to the patient and the patient is responsible to the doctor. We will help in every way we can in filing your claim and handling insurance questions from our office on your behalf.
